1 Samuel 18:1
1 John 4:18
Inspired by Jeremiah’s Lamentations. God’s beloved prophet lamented and wept for the city he loved. Compassion flowed in every verse that he wrote when he knew God’s children would be taken to Babylon.
Now he’s up above, in God’s loving presence, rejoicing in the company of the eternally blessed ones. With the little that was revealed, he was incredibly faithful, now he rejoices exceedingly as he fathoms God’s eternal plans.
If he had been here, he would have exulted about God’s goodness that turned his mourning into dancing and sorrow into joy.
So, this is my tribute to God’s beloved friend, who carried his burden when none did understand.
