Future Blessings for Zion
“For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor will I rebuke you. ” For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you.

What is God saying here?

As long as you are on this earth, you will face trials, tribulations and tests.

You will go through the wind, rain and fire.

But He didn’t pray for us to be taken out of the world, He prayed that we would have the strength to persevere and stand on the day of testing.

What is testing?

The storm is not the test. Your understanding of God is being tested in the fiery furnace of your mind.

Those that know that God is in the boat can arise and proclaim, ‘Peace, Be still.’

Those that know that God saves when you call, can gather together and intercede for all.

And those whose faith is growing weaker by the day can still cry out to the Lord in the day of their trouble. A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory. (BSB Mt 12:20)

Instead we go around speaking  about God’s judgement every time a storm hits the land.

He didn’t say that the mountains will NOT depart. He said they will.  But when they do, DON’T DOUBT His love for you.

But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you.

This is the God that I know, love, cherish and serve.

And even if my strength fails, He’ll arise to quieten the storms, hide me under His wings and be my shield forevermore.

No more shall I be, the afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted by His healing presence. I am His sheep and I can hear His voice, His Spirit has He poured out to dwell within me.

So deceiver begone, I’ve entered into His rest – a place of quiet trust that will keep me calm amidst the brewing storm.

For His love never fails, never gives up and never runs out on me.
