Sept 22.

When I woke up, this was the first thing that I sensed.

Don’t let what you don’t have, define you.

[Are you talking to me? Or should I write about it? And as the dialogue continued, I knew that the message was meant for you and me. 🙂 ]

And here it is.

The kingdom of darkness is defined by covetousness, greed, desires, wants and needs. There’s no peace in that territory because they constantly want something that does not belong to them.

The princes of the air lingered in the presence of the Lord yet they coveted the created world more than the Creator. They wanted the King’s possessions but not the King.

That’s incredible!

When they looked at what He had created, they didn’t stand in awe of God.  They didn’t thank Him or give Him praise. He simply wasn’t worthy in their eyes.

Sin started ruling over them. And they let their desires to separate themselves from God.

They chose to step away from His presence  and walk away from His Lordship. It didn’t stop there, they audaciously chose to oppose His plans!

They weren’t afraid of being GOD’S ENEMY! Absolutely rebellious, they had no fear of the Lord.

This is what happens when you let your desires to rule over you. It becomes an idol. And then you end up praying obsessive compulsive prayers.

But God wants you to be rooted and established in His love. The kind of love that Adam experienced before the fall. All day long, Adam was captivated by the presence of God. And God was delighted to show all the things that He had prepared for His beloved son.

This is the rest that Jesus offers when He says, ‘come, follow me.’ He wants to be with you every step of the way.

Jesus came to set you free from the needs and wants that can drag you down to the depths of despair.

If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10

So, continue to delight yourself in the lord. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and keep you in perfect peace.
