Any good principle originates from God, for God is good.

That’s what I sensed when I found this quote on the calendar today.

The best gift you can give to a troubled friend is a patient willingness to listen.    Anonymous

If we know how to give this good gift, how can we expect anything less from a Good God?

And Jesus said to him, Why call you me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Luke 18:19

In the eternal realm, there must be a God who is more patient and more willing to listen to us when we cry out to him for help and guidance.

As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better? Matt 7-11 MSG

So, how then can you say,

‘Do you really care?
Do you know what I’m going through?
Do you have eyes to see that I’m talking to you?
Are you even listening to me?’

If you are saying this, where do you think it originates from? Definitely from the kingdom of darkness.

But what is the truth?

There’s a Comforter within
who listens like a friend
He sees the sparrow’s fall
carries your tears in His bottle
the hairs on your head are numbered
with love He follows every misstep
the dewdrops on the grass
and the color of the lilies
nothing escapes His Loving Eye
He stands with Rachel and weeps.
And if you can stay for a while
Like Mary beside the tomb
You’d find Him waiting to say
“My name is Wonderful!
I AM the Resurrection and the Life
the Redeemer of all things”

Isaiah 40:27-31

O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles?
O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
Have you never heard?
    Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
    and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

May the Lord of all creation, fine-tune your ears to listen to His voice. May He give you a listening heart to fathom the depth of His love and the mysteries that He’s kept for you since the moment you were conceived in His mind.

Have a wonderful day!
